FURNACE SERVICE

What's involved in a standard furnace tune up-

  • Replace or clean all filters

  • Check for carbon monoxide

  • Inspect heat exchanger

  • Check inlet/outlet gas pressure

  • Check/adjust fuel air mixture

  • Check motors for voltage/amp draw

  • Test system safety devices

  • Inspect blower assembly

  • Check/calibrate thermostat operation

  • Check for gas leaks at furnace

  • Check temperature rise

  • Check combustion air

  • Check ignition system

  • Check electrical connections

  • Check flue pipe

  • Check flue stack temperature draft

  • Lubricate moving parts as needed

  • Check supply and return air static pressures

  • Check pressure drop across heat exchanger

  • Cycle furnace to ensure correct operation

  • Give a written diagnostic report of findings

 

AIR CONDITIONER SERVICE

What's involved in a standard air conditioning tune up-

  • Replace or clean filters

  • Inspect/clean outdoor coil

  • Inspect indoor coil if possible

  • Inspect for visible refrigerant leaks

  • Check operating pressures and temperatures

  • Check for proper operating voltage/amp draw

  • Test system safety devices

  • Lubricate moving parts as needed

  • Inspect blower assembly

  • Check blower speed

  • Inspect the wiring and control circuit

  • Check thermostat operation

  • Check coil temperature drops

  • Check electrical connections

  • Check condensate drain pan and lines

  • Check start contractor

  • Cycle equipment to check for proper operation

  • Give a written diagnostic report of findings
